Canvas Overview
Instructure Canvas is a learning management system (LMS) that provides similar tools and features to the Blackboard Learn LMS. Instructure was founded in 2008, became the statewide LMS for all Utah public schools, colleges and universities in 2010, and has continued to grow its customer base ever since. In addition to its core LMS product, Instructure has developed and/or purchased other products as well. Instructure has a Major Milestones page on their website that details the company's history.
