Learning Resource Center: Printing & Copying Procedures (Student ID Card or Print Card)

How to Print or Copy in the Learning Resource Center using a Student ID card or Print Card

Printing and copying each cost $0.10 per page (if you are making double-sided copies, please note that it is $0.10 per side copied).

In order to print or copy, you MUST use your CVCC Student ID card or a print card (which you can purchase from the machine pictured below). Please read the instructions carefully to make sure you select the correct options.

**PLEASE NOTE: The machine will only accept $1 bills (paper currency).**

**If you need change, please see a member of the LRC staff. **

Printing Procedures

1. Follow normal printing procedure. You will prompted to enter a "Release Key."

2. You can decide on the Release Key (use numbers, your initials, or anything that is easy to remember up to 14 characters).

Pro Tip: your release key does not have to be 14 characters. Also, avoid using something generic like 1234. Otherwise you might end up printing someone else's stuff.

3. Type your Release Key into the release station (located down the middle aisle on the right side in the last cubical).

4. Click on the title of the document you want to print. Insert your student ID or print card and click "Print."

Copying Procedures

1. Place you original face-down on the glass. Close copier lid. Please do NOT leave it open.

2. Insert you student ID or print card into the black card reader beside the machine. Select "Copy" from the main menu screen.

3. Pres the green "Start" button when the desired setting are selected. Your copy will be available on the middle tray of the copier.

4. Remember to get your student ID or print card back by pressing the small black button on the card reader.

Note: Card reader may look different from the one pictured above.

Pro-tip!

Respect the signs on the machines! Please do not open the drawers or doors, and do not change the print settings for ANY reason. If you get an error message or have ANY concerns or questions, please ask a member of the library staff.
